Purpose of this blog

This blog has been created to share any experience I can with any other younger dad who has had the misfortune of losing their wife and being left alone to raise young children



When this happened to me in September 2011 I could not understand why there are so little resources and support specifically targeted at younger dads.  There is plenty of bereavement and support groups, but why is there no practical, knowledge sharing type services?.  I wanted to just find out if anyone else was in this situation and how they were going.  Its a bloody terrifying thought being left with a 2 year old and a 4 year old to care for alone for the rest of their lives.  Whilst terrifying there is no way that anyone will be raising my kids except for me.  Theyve all Ive got left

So I trust this helps - if you are reading this and in a similar situation - best of luck - there are others like you, they are apparently just bloody hard to find
